Release notes April 2020

In April, we have focused on update of the main pages in the system, such as user profile, horse profile, organisation as well as adding features to improve the user experience such as Gantt calendar, new map solution to view the show venue and many other improvements. We have released some of the data from old KIPA site, including competition results from 2002-2019 period, records of officials activities as well as records on participation of Finnish riders in international shows abroad. The work on interoperability with Clubs´ Register (SENSE) and other systems will continue in the following months. 

Usability  improvements 

• New calendar view in Gantt format was added allowing users to get a quick overview on shows and clinics that are happening at the same time. This feature will help in planning of the personal training and competition schedule. The Gantt calendar view can be accessed by pressing on "Gantt" button under the filters´ section. The feature is an MVP and will be evolving based on the user experience feedback. 

Profile pages of people, horses and organisations updated

• Personprofile page was updated in both desktop and mobile views: 
  • showing of personal details improved: data is better structured and presented to users
  • shopping basket icon shows the number of not paid items, if there are any
  • upcoming competitions list  updated to offer a better visibility for user on the registrations, including the date and time, when registrations done, changed or paid 
  • results list mobile view was updated

Upcoming events tab with open details:  

• Horse profile page updated, incl general layout, results list in mobile view and upcoming events list in both desktop and mobile views. 

In the following months a possibility to add a picture of a horse or a stoodbook logo will be added.

• Event venue location added to event page and to calendar - navigating to show or clinics venue is more convenient:  

When pressed of Venue tab, a page with google map, address and coordinates will open. You can also copy the address to clipboard to use it in your navigator:

From table view -  when venue details are added by organiser, the place becomes clickable:  

When clicked the following modal will open with map, address and coordinates: 

• Schedules that are not approved and can be still changed by organiser are clearly marked as DRAFTs:  displayed on a grey background and there is a note added that the schedule is in a draft status:  

• Registration to event: to avoid confusion on when and how to pay the registration and starting fees, a new flow was designed and clear messages shown to athletes when they register to shows that do not use payments. 
  •  When user registers to show that doesn´t use online payments, a message appears on the registration success page that for these entries the payments should be done in show office:

When user clicks on "Check-out" button, an additional message will appear explaining that the payment should be done at show office:  

• The first version of History data released. We will be working further on quality of data and add more historical data. 

• FAQ:  questions and answers are accessible directly from KIPA site. No need to leave the page to read an article or search for instructions. 

Features for show organizers 

Add address of show venue and integration with google maps service:  

• When adding or editing a show data, there is a possibility to use google maps service to add address of show venue, check from the map view whether the location is correct and get the coordinates from google database. 
• When venue is added, users can see the venue data from show page and also can access it directly from calendar.
