Release notes Feb 2020
Usability improvements
- Starting from February, trainings (valmennus) and shows are under separate categories in calendar. A special filter can be used to search only for trainings and shows or for both, including flexible search per competition or training level:
- In calendar, on people, organisations and horses search pages as well as in masterlist, the filters´ configurations are saved when navigating from and to the search pages.
- When navigating from search pages and then back, the user will come back to the same location in the search lists from where he/she has left the search page.
- Several disclaimers and tooltips have been added to explain the source of data or the logic of the operations, for example, disclaimers regarding data sources in person profile, horse profile, organisation profile, tooltips for results resolutions explaining the financial implications etc
- In calendar, the use of time filter has been enhanced, the date range would also include the show´s end date and registration date. For example, when user selects the time range from 1.03 until 1.04, the shows with start date on 29.02 and end date of 2.03 would also appear in the search, as well as shows with registration deadline on 1.04.
- In mobile view, the table version of calendar is set as default and improvements done to enhance usability, including more compact design.
- An interface allowing to see the entries per class has been improved (Show page - schedule - participants). There are two options – possibility to browse the participants list per class or per pair (as in masterlist).
1st option: browse participants per class:
2nd option: browse participants per competition pair. If you wish, you can use filters to sort the list by athlete name, horse name or by the date or time of registration. You can select all classes on only some of them.
- The participants statistics section on the Participants page has been brought to the beginning of the page and number of paid entries added as requested by the users.
- In calendar, search by key word filter works also with names of the cups.
- On landing page, the starred shows are now displayed to help users finding the highlights of the competition season:
- High contrast themes are created for users with special needs.
Data management
- Personal data, such as telephone number, e-mail, address etc of users, whose accounts come from from SENSE (club register), is synced upon user sign-in. This data exchange helps keeping personal data up-to-date in between the official syncs.
- Official pony measurements have been extracted from the old KIPA database. Please check whether your pony´s measurement are correct and submit the pony measurement certificate if the measurements are expired:
- We started to import data from Cobs´ register.
- Western horses´ IDs has been transferred from old KIPA database.
Features for officials
- On the person profile, the roles in show or in training (i.e. President of Ground Jury, judge, steward, trainer etc) are split from administrative roles such as organizer or discipline administrator. Officials can more easily track their professional experience by using the respective filters: time, show or event, role or search by keyword.
Roles in a show tab:
- A role for trainer (Valmentaja) has been added to the system, allowing the organizer of a training session or clinics to add trainer to schedule. A trainer can then track his/her professional experience.
Features for show organizers
Equipe APP and KIPA integration
- Jumping judgement protocols, dressage and eventing tests are better synced between KIPA and Equipe APP. After the entries are imported from KIPA to Equipe APP, the judgment is automatically selected for the class in Equipe based on the judgement marked in KIPA.
- Single sign-in to Equipe APP is enabled from organisation profile. All organisers can now access Equipe APP from their organisation profiles.
- For data integrity, it is possible to import from KIPA to Equipe APP only entries for shows with registration closed status. If import is done before the registration is closed, there might occur defect in entries management, i.e. shopping baskets for people who actually has unregistered from show before the registration was closed.
Managing show & finances
- In masterlist, the function to open all notes is introduced to make all notes visible for organizers:
- Adding an selling products function is introduced.
- Show organiser can add product or service:
-
and manage products and services from product management list:
-
Similarly to entries, for each cancelled product there is a possibility to define the conditions for cancellation, i.e. full refund, no refund, only booking fee refunded. Based on the resolution, the final sums in shopping basket will be calculated.
- Show organiser can add product or service:
Products and services are also added to receipts that are generated for users for each payment.
The product section will be improved further in course of the development of the system. An integration with Equipe APP is planned (using the lists functionality in Equipe).
- On Finances page of the show, the cashier report has been improved. Filters are added to search for payers by payers´ and athletes´ name, horses´ name and status of payments, prize money and refunds.
Status of payments:
This filter enables to find payers with not paid entries or products.
Status of payouts:
This filter allows searching for payers who have refunds allocated (both paid out and not paid) as well as payers with not paid refunds.
Status of prize money:
The filter helps to find people with allocated prize money, paid out and not paid out prizes and registration that have missing prize money payment details.
- The first version of Balances report has been released. Balances report gives an overview of debit and credit accounts of the show, per payer, competition and other parameters.
- In results editing section, a tooltip for each resolution was added to explain the meaning of the resolution for financial obligations of riders and organizer, for example, what will happen if early withdrawn or voided or changed etc will be selected.
- A control added, preventing changing the fees for classes and products after registration is open and there is at least one entry / product booked or purchased. This would help prevent issues with different payment rates during registration process. There have been some cases already, when fees rates were changed during the registration process causing the need for corrections.
Features and data management for KIPA administration
- Roles and permissions module has been improved to allow setting up roles under organization with restrictions for disciplines and regions. This would allow us to have roles under one organization allowing to publish and manage, for example, only dressage shows for certain regions. This feature can be used for organization of trainings under Ypäjä.
- We reviewed and make more consistent with users´ needs all the default values in time filters across the system.
- Short-term MVP / workaround developed for suspensions from shows of athletes and horses. KIPA team should be informed, when there is a need to suspend any athlete or horse from competing. The suspensions function will be developed during the next project stages.
- Licence requirements activated for horses (as of 15 February).
- The validity of the 2019 licences for riders extended until the beginning of March.
- A special role with limited permissions to organize shows and trainings only at club and region levels have been introduced. This role has been taken in use for companies´ administration, when company doesn´t have permissions to organize national shows and trainings. The permissions have been configured for the list of companies provided by the SRL.
